Introduction

Alike AI ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account information (name, email address)
• Profile information and preferences
• Calendar and task data you choose to sync
• AI coding-agent sessions you choose to connect (see the dedicated section below)
• Communications with our support team

Information collected automatically

• Usage data (features used, interactions)
• Device information (browser type, operating system)
• Log data (IP address, access times, pages viewed)

AI Coding-Agent Sessions

If you connect your AI coding agents to Alike (for example by running npx @alikeai/setup), we store the sessions those agents produce in your workspace:

• The prompts you send and the responses and reasoning your agents produce
• Tool calls your agents make — the tool’s name, its arguments and results, and whether it succeeded
• Session metadata — repository, git branch, working directory, file paths, pull-request and issue references, timestamps, and which agent client was used

We use this data to power your own Alike experience: grounding your Alike agents, briefings, and coordination features, and generating search indexes and embeddings so your sessions are findable — not for advertising, and never to train AI models.

Session data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Raw transcripts and full session telemetry are always private to you — teammates never see them. What your workspace can see is at most a bounded, distilled summary of a session — never the transcript. Default workspace sharing policies apply; you can adjust or turn this off at any time from Settings > Privacy. Without a sharing policy, nothing is shared. You can delete your account and all captured session data at any time from Settings > Data, subject to the 30-day grace period described under Data Retention.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Personalise your experience
• Send you updates and administrative messages
• Respond to your comments and questions
• Analyse usage patterns to improve our product
• Protect against fraudulent or unauthorized activity

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect usage information and improve your experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings and through our cookie consent banner.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings > Data. Deleted accounts enter a 30-day grace period before permanent removal.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
